So I bought this at a clearance price. Reasonable enough, it was manufactured three years ago and they are producing generation two now. After receiving my purchase I saw their marketing on Manitou's homepage for the Markhor.
I don't know if the use of Allister Crowley -style corrupted magic applies just to the product update, or to the original product line as well. But when the manufacturer asks the question if the user is going to die while riding with the product equipped, I take heed.
They are who designed it and are knowledgeable about its production and suitability for use!
The Markhor is a great upgrade for my Roscoe 6 that came equipped with a heavy coil spring fork. The Markhor shaved a ton of weight and has enhanced the ride quality dramatically. I'm a fan, and would highly recommend.
