I originally checked the website to purchase a Duroc 50 rim. But when I saw the sale price on the wheel, I couldn’t resist. I grabbed one of these front wheels for my Stooge MK8. The wheel came out of the box straight, true and well tensioned. The Duro Crux 29x3.25 beaded out beautifully. Tubeless setup was flawless. On the first try. With a floor pump.
Coming off of an I30 rim and getting the front tire beaded out let me run lower tire pressure and eliminated sidewall flop in hard corners. The data is hard to argue with; I was 3/4mph faster (on average) than I’ve ever been on my usual weekday ride. Great wheel at a great price!
I've been running the Duroc wheels on my Trek Stache for several years. Most of my riding is done in the Pisgah National Forest and these wheels have held up well. The straight pull hub design and the cartridge bearings make these durable and require little maintenance. They are lightweight and roll great.
